Experience

OWNER OF THE COMPANY GERMINO Paweł Laskowski:
In 2002 I obtained my master's degree after completing full-time studies in German philology at the University of Lodz. I have worked as a high school German teacher for several years. From 2007 to 2009, I worked in the logistics department of STAMM-BODYFIT in Gummersbach, Germany.

Since 1 July 2013 I have been operating as a FREELANCER translator

From 1 July 2013 to 30 November 2017, I worked at the Belchatow Power Plant, translating and interpreting for the German company BILFINGER POWER SYSTEMS. These were mainly technical, economic and office translations. During meetings with representatives of subcontracting companies and PGE, I gained experience as a live interpreter (simultaneous, consecutive and conference interpreting). I mediated hundreds of conversations on the site of the Belchatow Power Plant between professionals in the fields of energy, automation, construction.

From July 2014 to November 2017, I acted as an interpreter-coordinator (Hauptdolmetscher) during the Boiler 7-12 modernisation project at the Belchatow Power Plant.

From 2017 to 2021, I continued to work with the BILFINGER Group.

I use my knowledge in cooperation with other companies

After 12 years as a translator, I know what a good translation should be. I always try to recognise my clients' needs and look for optimal solutions. When dealing with a variety of texts, inquisitiveness and a great willingness to learn about different fields are particularly important. Good communication with the client, a flexible approach and punctuality are what I can guarantee.

I also work with several translation agencies from Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the UK.

Between 2013 and 2025, I translated more than 45,000 pages for them.

Among the clients for whom I have carried out translations are major German corporations representing the automotive, aerospace, chemical, energy and railway industries.

In addition to translations, I offer services related to post-editing machine translations (MTPE), verification and correction of finished translations, as well as transcription. I also transcribe and translate film files, e.g. instructional, advertising and marketing videos.

Since December 2014, I have been certified as a technical translator by the Supreme Technical Organisation (NOT) - energy sector (German - Polish, Polish - German).
